Introduction

If you want the short Vibease review so you can decide right away if it’s good for you, here are the specifics:

The Vibease is an external vibrator that you “wear” by slipping into your underwear. It can be controlled by pushing buttons on the vibrator, or you can control it by the app. The app is what makes it perfect for long-distance relationships, as your partner can take control from wherever he is in the world. All you have to do is connect your vibrator to your phone (via Bluetooth) and then connect to your guy’s phone (via internet connection). Very simple.

I think the Vibease is a good start if you’re introducing long-distance sex toys into your relationship for the first time, and interested in external stimulation.

OK, that’s the short version. For those of you who want to get into the nitty-gritty of how it works and my experience with it, I have LOADS more to tell you.

Sex in Long-distance Relationships

So, let’s talk about sex, ladies.

In a long-distance relationship, lack of physical sex is often the thing that becomes most frustrating the fastest. Yes, of course, you miss all the little things too—like just being able to see your man whenever you want! But physical intimacy is a big one.

I remember when I first started dating my partner and we were doing long distance, I made a resolution that I wasn’t going to let our sex life get boring. I was down to try everything: sexting, Skype sex, sexy videos, sexy recordings. You name it, I was willing to do it. The thing is after a while, all of those things got a little boring.

So I did a little googling of the normal stuff, “How to make long-distance sex exciting?” and I found long-distance sex toys. I had obviously always known about vibrators, but I had no idea the kind of technology that had been invented for long-distance sex. In fact, it even has a name, “teledildonics”!

So when Vibease offered to send me their remote-control vibrator, I was all over it. It’s a hard job being the girl who has to test sex toys, but I’m willing to do it for you.

I’m going to tell you about my experience using the vibrator to see if you should buy Vibease. (Spoiler alert: You probably should.)

The Vibease

So, let’s talk about aesthetics. I personally believe that your sex toys should be pretty. If they’re bulky or oddly shaped or made out of an unattractive material, they’re distracting. It will hardly bring up sexy thoughts of your man if you’re looking at a vibrator that looks like a kitchen appliance instead of a bedroom must-have.

Luckily, the Vibease vibrator is really pretty. Small, pink or purple, and curved, it slips right into your panties, putting pressure (and vibrations!) on your clit. It definitely beats the vibrating panties of yesteryear. The device is not built in, so, its more powerful and quieter.

It’s made of a very soft silicone that almost mimics the feel of skin, and it feels heavenly.

Is the Vibease Quiet?

I think the most important part of the Vibease is that it’s very, very quiet. I think most of us look for vibrators that are as quiet as possible because no one but you (and, in this case, your partner) should know that you’re using it.

As the Vibease is designed to be wearable, which means that you can wear it outside, it’s vital that the vibrations don’t sound like a construction site. You want to be able to have a some naughty, secret fun at work; you don’t want your boss asking where that vibrating noise is coming from. It is advertised as being completely silent, but that’s impossible for a vibrator. If it were silent, the vibrations wouldn’t be strong enough to do anything, so it does make a tiny bit of noise, but I think it’s almost imperceptible.

If you’re using it at home and have roommates, the normal bustle of the house or even some low music should mask the noise. The same is true for using it outside of the house, but your nerves might make you hyper-aware of the small vibrating noise.

The Vibease Erotic Stories Marketplace

Finally, there is one other unique aspect of the Vibease: the fantasy stories. Submitted by other Vibease users, there’s a huge marketplace of erotic stories that you can listen to while using your Vibease. The Internet-controlled vibrator syncs up with the audio so that your climax happens just as the climax in the story happens.

The fantasy stories make the device immersive, interactive and a go-to vibrator for solo-action when you just need to let loose and remind yourself that you have needs. This is something generic vibrators, vibrating panties and cheap clitoral stimulators just can’t do.

How Does It Work?

The Vibease is simple to use, which is good because you want as little distractions as possible when using a vibrator. There are two buttons: The first one turns it on and off, and the second one allows you choose between five vibration modes. The main advantage of the Vibease is that it’s wearable, so you probably won’t want to use the buttons on the vibrator to control it. Instead, you can control it by the app, or, more specifically, get your man to control it.

You might have used vibrators before that you had to hold. This one is special as you can insert it into your panties, and it stays pretty snug. However, I will say that if you plan to walk around with it, it can move out of place. You also have to wear pretty tight underwear to keep it where you want it. Although it fit for me, I know that vibrators are not one-size-fits-all, and the shape and size might not work for some women. Because of the shape, it also presses up against your clit, so you’re getting external simulation, which leads to a pretty powerful experience.

The Vibease Chat App

The Vibease Chat app is free, and you can download it for your Android or iPhone. Once you download it, you’ll create a profile, which includes picking your nickname, profile photo, and gender. You can choose not to have a photo, but the app will remind you how much your partner would enjoy seeing a photo of you—and I don’t think they’re wrong! Also, it’s not like other users can randomly pair up with you, so you don’t have to worry about a stranger seeing you.

There are step-by-step instructions to connect your device, and it’s pretty simple to follow—just make sure your Bluetooth is turned on.

You can also set the pulsation setting for your Vibease in the app.

My Experience With the Vibease

I used the Vibease two ways: once with my partner and once alone.

We decided that we wanted to use it while we were separated to get the full long-distance experience from it. Seeing as we live together and neither of us had any solo trips planned, I wore mine to work. Now, this is a little risky, and it depends on the kind of environment you work in. I have my own office, so I didn’t have to worry about awkwardly trying not to orgasm around my co-workers. We didn’t decide on the exact time that we were going to start using it because I thought the surprise element was part of the fun.

I slipped the Vibease on in the morning, and it was so comfortable that I actually forget I was wearing it for a while. Around midday, my partner and I started to exchange some naughty texts. My Vibease was connected to the app, so I knew he could start controlling it whenever he wanted to. This added a lot to the experience, and I’d encourage you to do the same with your man. Once he did start controlling it, the vibrations were just the right intensity to feel good without being overwhelming. Without getting into extreme details, I really enjoyed the experience, and so did my partner. Even though I wasn’t exactly returning the favor for him, he got a lot of pleasure out of knowing he was giving me pleasure—and I think your man will feel similar.

The next time I used it was on my own. My partner left for the evening, and I decided to pair my Vibease up with one of the fantasy stories. First, I tested out the ones that were already on the phone, but they didn’t really do anything for me. I wanted something a little more erotic, so I went into the Fantasy marketplace right on the app. There was a lot to choose from. The fun part of incorporating erotica into your solo play is that you can extend the experience for as long as you want. I’d never listened to erotica before, so I loved having that new experience.

Should You Buy Vibease?

Here’s my final verdict in my Vibease review: 8/10. I think there is always room for improvement, but this is a pretty great example of all of the things that long-distance vibrators do right. My main issue with it is that the app does not always work as it should, and it can lose connection at inopportune times. This only happened once in the times that I’ve used it, though. The app, on the whole, is really simple to use and I like the addition of the audio erotica and the chat function is good too.

I would also prefer to have a vibrator that provides external and internal stimulation, but I think that maybe a wearable vibrator is not the best option for that. It really depends on your body type and desires whether this wearable vibrator will give you the buzz you need when you are out and about. It certainly does when used as a hand-held vibrator in the traditional way.

But at only $119 (or $87 with our coupon code) it can add some spice to your long-distance sex life without being an enormous investment. If you want a wearable, Internet-controlled vibrator, then I think the Vibease is one of the best options out there.

    Just read your Vibease review.
Fantastic idea, especially for those Christian-conservative and traditionalist women whose husbands are in the military or must travel for work or another reason.
Also great for foreplay, when the husband is home; many religious-conservative men forbid their wives from using self-stimulating devices like vibrators because THEY aren’t performing the stimulating act, yet they refuse to manually bring her to orgasm because the idea of touching their wife’s genitals is doctrinally forbidden or highly distasteful to the husband. (Hey, why couldn’t these men simply use nitrile or soft vinyl medical treatment glove on their hands and then massage their wife’s private parts to orgasm?)
I’ve read Christian, Catholic, and Muslim websites that do everything they can to discourage foreplay FOR MARRIED COUPLES! How viciously cruel!
Products like the Vibease are the answer to these women’s hopes and dreams of enjoying what their husbands get to enjoy. The fact that the husband can control the operation of the vibrator and prevents his wife from using it on herself without him GETS AROUND DOCTRINAL PROHIBITIONS OF MASTURBATION.
Most of these women in strict religions or traditionalist subcultures have no idea that these products exist. You could make a fortune marketing to these wives– and their husbands. Find ways of advertising on websites typically visited by adult Christian and conservative men, and have the ads stress how THEY can be in total control of the vibe’s operations, to confine the masturbatory act to foreplay immediately preceding sex.
    Good luck!
